Happening at Huguenot

Huguenot High School Families,
I hope our students are rested and ready to return to school tomorrow, Wednesday, March 6. Here are some updates from Huguenot High School:
**Graduation**
As communicated in the most recent RPS Direct, Huguenot High School Graduation will take place Thursday, May 30, at 12PM, at the Greater Richmond Convention Center. Seniors, please make sure to follow the Senior Google Classroom for important end of school year and graduation information.
**March 13 Curriculum Fair**
From 6-8PM on March 13 Huguenot High School will hold a curriculum fair for rising 9th graders, 10th graders, and 11th graders. The fair will feature live performances, graduation requirements, the ACE monthly meeting for families of English Learners, and tables set up to feature classes and programs available to our students. More information will be coming through REMIND.
**Prom**
Juniors and Seniors, please see the attached prom fliers. Juniors and Seniors must use their student ID numbers which are good for one ticket. If a Junior or Senior is planning to bring a guest from another school they must complete the guest form and have it approved by their grade-level admin or principal in addition to being signed by administration from the guest’s school. Once completed students will receive another access code for the guest ticket. Forms are on the door of our activities director as well as the electronic copy that is attached to this message. Fliers are also posted around the building.

Graduation is Thursday, May 30, 2024, at noon

at the GREATER RICHMOND CONVENTION CENTER

403 N 3rd St, Richmond, VA 23219

12 p.m. - Huguenot High School

please arrive on time!

Huguenot Families,
This afternoon we distributed Yondr cell phone pouches to all students who were present. Almost all of our students did exactly as asked and we appreciate them for following directions and being willing to try something new. Your students need to bring their assigned pouches to school tomorrow and everyday forward here after. As we have communicated in multiple REMIND messages, our community townhall night, and the information that was mailed home to all of our homes, students will need to do the following:
1. Students will need to bring the pouch each day. Cell phones, smart watches, and headphones will be locked in their assigned pouches prior to entering the security check point. *If students locked their pouches after getting their phones out today, we will be at entrances on door 1 and 2 in the morning to unlock pouches so that students can put their phones in prior to security checkpoints.
2. Students may not bring iPads, tables, or personal computers. Only Chromebooks.
3. Students who were absent today and have not been assigned a pouch will need to proceed to the auditorium immediately in the morning to receive their pouches.
Students who do not comply with locking their devices in pouches in the morning will have their phones confiscated until the end of the day; however, we are hoping that we will see the widespread adoption we saw today.
Have a great evening,
Dr. Michael Massa,
Interim Principal, Huguenot High School
