This week: April 21-26, 2025
Sunday 4-20
Good Evening, Huguenot High School Falcons
I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday weekend, and Happy Easter to all those who celebrate. We had an amazing prom! Thank you to Ms. Kane for, once again, planning an amazing night for our students. I was so proud when I arrived to see how our students brought class and fun to the Four Points by Sheraton. Everyone looked great, and we received lots of compliments again this year from the location staff about how well our students handled themselves. Thank you to our students, staff, and especially Ms. Kane for her awesome job in making a magical night for everyone!
Here are tonight’s announcements:
A reminder that tomorrow we are in school for a regular day. The division had added this day back on the calendar after our weather/water days during the winter. Power is back on, things are functioning, and we are starting SOL testing tomorrow. It may be enticing to take a day off tomorrow, but please, remember that we have limited school days left, and each day we have groups of students testing. We are also considering attendance for both the end-of-year field day, and the Senior class trip. Additionally, we want to make sure that everyone is in school learning for the best outcomes possible as we end the school year. Come to school tomorrow, and every day, until the end of the school year.
Testing Window Begins
Our Spring testing window starts tomorrow. Please see the testing calendar here: rmd.me/L5WKhbuDKjs
We will also be ASVAB testing some seniors as well as CLEP testing during this month and next. Your student will be told individually if they need to take one of those tests.
Mean Girls This Weekend
The Huguenot High School Performing Arts Department is proud to announce MEAN GIRLS, our spring musical, this weekend! We are bringing back our annual spring musicals. We hope that you will come and support the program and enjoy an amazing performance featuring our theater, dance, and choir students. This is a big production, and we are very proud of our students and teachers for putting in the hard work to bring this musical to the Huguenot Stage. Please see the flyer for more information, including ticket info. It/s going to be SO FETCH. Performance times are Friday, 4/25 7-9PM, and Saturday, 4/26, 2-4PM.
30-30 Each Period Starts Monday, 4/21
Starting Monday, 4/21, we will start a 30-30 pass restriction (replacing our previous 15-15 pass restriction), each period. The 30-30 pass restriction means that the middle 30 minutes of our 90-minute classes will be reserved for student movement, while the first and last 30 minutes will be “no movement times” for students to make sure that students are engaged in learning and to better help teachers plan lessons and transitions. We have piloted this practice during 4th period, and this 30-30 pass restriction each period aligns Huguenot with other comprehensive high schools in the division. Email Dr. M with any questions.
Thank you, everyone, and I look forward to seeing you tomorrow.

Principal, Huguenot High School rmd.me/j3iPyzB6TgP
