This week: December 15-20, 2025
Good evening, Huguenot High School families,
I suggest that all students dress warmly for school, including layers, as our climate in the building can change from one space to another, given our size. If your student is in need of a jacket, please contact your student’s school counselor. We have one week left until winter break. Below are the announcements for this week:
SOLs
Upon arrival, students should go to their 1st period class on Monday, 2nd pd. on Tuesday, 3rd pd. on Wednesday, and 4th pd. on Thursday. Announcements will be made to move to testing locations.
Students who missed Math SOL retests on Friday will test Monday unless they have a Block 1 SOL. Students should have received an email.
Tutoring
Huguenot High School offers after-school tutoring, enrichment activities, and flexible instruction time (to recover absences). Join the HHS Academy in the cafeteria Monday through Thursday, 4 PM to 6 PM. Transportation is provided. I you would like after-school tutoring in core subject areas, please complete THIS FORM.
Upcoming DCJS Survey
Our school, in cooperation with the Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services and the Virginia Department of Education, is conducting the Virginia School Survey of Climate and Working Conditions. We will survey students in grades 9, 10, 11, and 12, as well as classroom instructors and staff, beginning in January 2026. The purpose of the student survey is to measure student support, student engagement, school discipline, and safety conditions in each school. This information will be used to guide educational practices that produce a safe and supportive school environment.
