Good evening, Huguenot High School families,
Graduation is just around the corner! Seniors, make sure to continue to check in on the Senior Canvas page! Underclassmen, you must continue to attend school and class each day until the end of the school year. Instruction is not over. Please also be aware that under no circumstances are students being told by teachers that they no longer need to attend class. Underclassmen who are not going to class will continue to be held to progressive discipline. We know that everyone is excited for summer, but we still have important work to do! We look forward to a positive, safe, and strong end to the school year over the next couple of weeks.
Here are tonight's updates:
Last Day for Seniors/Senior Close Out
The last day for our 12th-grade students is Tuesday, May 19. Grades for seniors are due May 18.
Seniors who are eligible and participating in graduation on May 26:
* Hand in your Chromebook on Monday and Tuesday at the media center. We will also be able to collect them during graduation practice on Wednesday, the 20th.
* Graduation practice is on Wednesday, May 20, at 10 am sharp. Those who do not attend this mandatory practice, or who are late, will not be able to participate in graduation on May 26.
*You will receive your tickets and 1 parking pass after practice on May 20 if you have turned in your Chromebook and all other RPS property.
*Dr. M is still going through cap decoration requests. No new requests can be submitted.
Seniors who are attending summer school and graduating during the summer graduation:
* You will keep your Chromebook for summer school.
*You do not attend graduation practice on Wednesday, May 20.
*Please make sure that you are registered for summer school. You should check in with your counselor to verify.
Seniors who are eligible to graduate but not participating in graduation:
* You must hand in your Chromebook to the media center by the end of the day on Tuesday, May 19.
* You do not attend graduation practice on May 20, and you do not receive tickets.

2026 Family Survey
The 2026 Family Engagement Survey is now open. It will be available until the end of the school year.
This year's survey is:
Shorter and simpler, based on your suggestions.
Open to all families in RPS (Richmond Public Schools).
Families who complete the survey will be entered into a drawing to win a new iPhone.
Please help make sure all family voices are heard. Encourage people in your school community to take the survey.

Upcoming Schedule Changes:
Monday, May 25, is a student and staff holiday (Memorial Day)
Tuesday, May 26, is a half-day for Huguenot High School 9th, 10th, and 11th-grade students due to our afternoon graduation.
