Here are this week’s announcements: 

Marking Period 2 Has Started

Last week, we started Marking Period 2.  If your student has been doing well in classes, encourage them to continue and keep focused.  If your students are struggling, departments offer tutoring on some days after school and on some Saturdays for classes with an end-of-course test (SOL) as well as AP offerings in some areas.  Please reach out to your student’s teacher or school counselor for more information. Teachers are contacting parents of students who have earned a D or F during the first marking period. 

Caregiver Conferences, November 6

On November 6, we will hold teacher conferences at Huguenot High School from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM.  Please check the teachers’ Canvas pages or contact them to schedule a meeting. Walk-in meetings are also welcome.  Final grades for Marking Period 1 should be available on Canvas for families during the day on November 6, and report cards will be sent home.

Cohort Night at Huguenot High School, November 11

Cohort night will take place on November 11, after school at Huguenot High School from 5 PM to 7 PM.  We will start in the auditorium, and then each cohort (grades 9,10,11, and 12) will break off into separate areas to discuss issues that are important to families that are specific to grade level, as well as questions and answer sessions.  We will be sending an RSVP this coming Sunday. We hope you plan to attend. 

Make Up Writing/Workplace Readiness Tests
Eligible students will be taking the make-up Writing SOL, and/or Workplace Readiness Tests this week.
