Welcome Back Falcons!

Welcome Back Falcons!

Welcome back Falcons! We are OPEN and eager to see you!

Good Morning, Falcons,

We had a wonderful first day getting to know the 9th-grade class.
As a reminder to families of 10th, 11th, and 12th-grade students, please see the abbreviated list of back-to-school information below that was previously sent out.  Please pay close attention to changes in the dress code as well as our cell phone expectations.

We can't wait to see you this morning at Huguenot High School, where you always BELONG!

-Dr. M

Attendance and Tardies

  • If you are outside of the classroom before the bell that begins a class period, you are tardy.  Click Here for the Huguenot High School progressive actions for tardies.

  • There are occasional hall sweeps during the school week.  If a student is out in the hall without a pass and caught in a hall sweep more than once, disciplinary action and supports may be put in place.

Backpacks and Supplies

  • All RPS students must have a clear book bag. The division is distributing book bags during the first week of school. Students may also purchase their bags from outside the school system.

  • Students may not bring bags to school that are opaque.  There are some exceptions for sports bags; however, the athlete must store the sports bag with their equipment in it in the designated location provided by their coach and/or the activities director. Athletes may not carry sports bags with them in the building during the day, other than at arrival and when leaving school.

  • RPS clear book bag protocol information may be found HERE.

Schedules

  • Hard copies of student schedules will be available in homerooms on the first day of school.

  • Student schedules are also available in ASPEN.  Schedules are still drafts as some class number leveling changes may have to take place after the first days of school.

  • Students who have recently enrolled may not yet have a schedule in ASPEN.

  • Forms for student schedule change requests will be available during the second week of school.  Class change requests are in no way guaranteed. Student requests based on teacher preference are not permitted.

  • This is a busy time of year to reach school counseling, so we ask that you allow for some patience and grace if response to emails takes longer than our regular 24-hour response time.
