Happening at Huguenot

This is the last week of school! I will send a message at the end of the week with information about report cards and other summer details.

May 26 Half-Day Schedule from 9 AM to 12 PM. 

Graduation will be at the Siegel Center at VCU 5/26 at 2:30 PM. Watch LIVE here

Chromebook Collection will be on May 28 and May 29. Students who do not return their Chromebooks will get a letter about replacement costs. 

Huguenot High School Field Day is this Thursday, May 28th! We are celebrating all students who passed their Standards of Learning (SOLs) and Performance-Based Assessments (PBAs), WorkKeys, and have excellent attendance! Parents, please fill out the permission form so your student can join in the fun! Participation Form (Eligible students will receive wristbands on the day of the event.)

Families! Graduation is just around the corner!  Seniors, make sure to continue to check in on the Senior Canvas page!  Underclassmen, you must continue to attend school and class each day until the end of the school year.  Instruction is not over.  Underclassmen who are not going to class will continue to be held to progressive discipline. We look forward to a positive, safe, and strong end to the school year over the next couple of weeks. 

Last Day for Seniors
The last day for our 12th-grade students is Tuesday, May 19. 
Seniors who are eligible and participating in graduation on May 26:
* Hand in your Chromebook on Monday and Tuesday at the media center. 
* Graduation practice is on Wednesday, May 20, at 10 am sharp.

Testing 
Huguenot High School will continue testing this week. 

The 2026 Family Engagement Survey is now open. Families who complete the survey will be entered into a drawing to win a new iPhone.

Monday, May 25, is a student and staff holiday (Memorial Day) 
Tuesday, May 26, is a half-day
for Huguenot High School 9th, 10th, and 11th-grade students due to our afternoon graduation.

⚠️Critical Reminders

  • Graduation Rehearsals: Attendance is mandatory for both dates.

  • Graduation Tickets: You will receive your graduation tickets on May 20 at the conclusion of the final rehearsal.

  • Field Trip: For those attending the Busch Gardens trip on May 15, please be prompt and meet in the auditorium at 10:30 AM for check-in and departure.

This week has three major events: SOL Block Testing, Rising 9th Grade Night, and Teacher Appreciation Week. 

SOL TESTING: This week, all day. 

Open House for Students Entering 9th Grade  All 8th graders (also called rising 9th graders) who will attend Huguenot High School for the 2026-2027 school year are invited to the Huguenot High School Rising Falcons Open House. It will be on May 7 from 5 to 7 PM at Huguenot High School.

Student Drop-Off/Pickup Traffic Change All pickups and drop-offs in the morning and afternoon must happen in our special line. This line is the second left turn off Coleman Road.

Test Preparation and Seat Hours You can now get tutoring and prepare for tests online. This also counts as seat time for students who need it. Tutoring is not only in person after school. Please click this document to see the specific times, places, and links for tutoring in each subject.
